French Press

You’ll need:
  • Hario French Press
  • Food Weighing Scale (for precision)
  • Coffee Grinder (if using whole beans)
  • Timer
  • 25 gms whole beans or 5 tablespoons of ground coffee (Coarse grind, should be coarser than sea salt)
  • 250 ml water at 92 degrees Celsius or boil water and use it after 5-7 minutes, once the temperature drops
  • Coffee Mug
Brewing steps:
  • Measure 25 gm of coffee beans (Approx. 5 tablespoons)
  • Grind coffee beans to a coarse grind, should be coarser than sea salt
  • Pour water in your French Press to pre-heat the chamber
  • Discard the water and add ground coffee
  • Pour 60 ml water and saturate the grounds
  • Let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds
  • Pour the remaining 210 ml water and cover your French Press using the plunger
  • Set your timer at 4 mins and pre-heat your mug
  • At 4 mins mark, gently push the plunger until the filter reaches the coffee bed
  • Pour your coffee and enjoy!
